Per treatment, HDR is a much shorter procedure in terms of minutes vs. days than Low Dose Rate (LDR) Brachytherapy which require longer treatment times than High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy
Increasingly more common, HDR technique effectiveness and shorter procedure (that may require multiple treatments) have replaced LDR techniques for most body sites.
