What has Medot been up to regarding Linear Accelerators and imaging systems?

Teaming up with TGOHN

As the owner/ operator of TGOHN in , de-installing and selling linear Accelerators over the past 30 years is our passion. We now meet the demands of your treatment system options. For example: We have just recently completed the sale of a Varian TrueBeam. This "State of the art technology" demonstrates a wide range of possibilities that turn leading research into inter-graded care. The Truebeam brings advances and more options for patients. The demand is strong and supply is limited on pre-owned Truebeams yet we are in line for systems coming out later this year. There still are many Varian systems that can fulfill your Oncology practice demand. Medot.net and TGOHN can locate any pre-owned system to meet your needs. We have reasonable pre-owned linear Accelerator pricing compared to OEM. Please contact us so we may serve you and your passion to help cure and treat cancer.

We are looking for all linear Accelerators to buy, deinstall and recycle worldwide, including all imaging systems.

Linear Accelerator decommissioning

Installation of Linear Accelerators

The installation of Linear Accelerator equipment requires a dynamic team effort, excellent professional skill sets, and expertise in the subject area as certain quality assurance and technical procedures are required during installation for proper use of the equipment.

Our installation service at TGOHN allows for a wide range of medical equipment within , including the Linear Accelerator (LINAC) system, with proven track records in effective handling of inventory management, device assembly, software setup, device calibration and commissioning. Our team of well trained and experienced experts are knowledgeable in the relevant setup of all necessary hardware components and how each section of the device are to be coupled together. We ensure that all necessary adjustments are made to the Linear Accelerator's unit at all stages of the quality control and testing process which is an important step in ensuring that the equipment is ready for maximum operation and safe for use on patients, delivering fully on the purpose for which it was built.

Transportation of Linear Accelerators

TGOHN also provides turnkey specialized machinery transport & logistical services for various organizations across . You can trust TGOHN to safely and efficiently handle the transport of oversized, fragile and otherwise remarkable machinery.

TGOHN provides high quality machinery transportation service for over-dimensional and heavy weighted equipment that requires proper planning, strategy and careful attention to detail in drawing out custom solution for its over-height, over-width or over-weight transport requirements.

Our specialized machinery transportation vehicles feature the right structural requirements and support systems for carrying and shuttling heavy duty machineries with a highly experienced team of drivers and logistics crews who are fully committed to maintaining the same level of care that you use when dealing with your most valuable assets.

Rigging Services for Linear Accelerators

We specialize in providing a wide range of turn-key rigging and relocation solutions for all medical and pharmaceutical machinery including the Linear Accelerator system.

Companies within trust TGOHN to safely and efficiently provide rigging services for their fragile & sensitive medical equipment without harm or damage to the respective systems. Our industrial movers move everything from heavy equipment to delicate machinery, heavyweight parts, oversized equipment and entire plants.

What is a Linear Accelerator (LINAC)

The Linear Accelerator (LINAC) is a piece of medical equipment designed for producing external beam radiations used in treating cancer patients by delivering high energy x-rays or electrons to the tumor region with more precision, reducing treatment time and sparing surrounding healthy normal body tissues from radiation thus destroying the cancer cells effectively and efficiently for the best possible treatment.

The Linear Accelerator (LINAC) is a radiology device used in treating all body sites using conventional techniques. The equipment allows for complex radioactive deliveries such as Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Radio Surgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radio Therapy (SBRT).

The Linear Accelerator works by producing either electron or high x-ray beams that can be shaped and directed to match the tumors shape. The radiation beam is directed to the patient with an accuracy of 2mm which is achieved by using:

  • Primary and secondary collimators which are large tungsten blocks that functions in shaping the x-ray beam into the appropriate shape for treatment.
  • Custom cast blocks specific for every individual patient to shield sensitive tissues or structures from radiation.
  • Multi-leaf collimator which are fine leaves (usually 1cm wide) that are digitally controlled to match the tumors shape.
